The current runaway pace of development threatens our infrastructure. For instance, the Grandview Lid project is a financial drain that would worsen traffic congestion.

Far too many proposed development projects are designed at a scale that is frankly incompatible with our existing neighborhoods. Specifically, I oppose the construction of high-rise apartment buildings in residential neighborhoods such as Cornelia.

All city development projects should be compliant with existing building codes; variances and exceptions should be contingent upon demonstrated hardship.

Traffic congestion must be alleviated, most notably around 50th and France. Outsized developments that would increase traffic congestion must be curtailed.

In order to ensure that the council’s agenda aligns with neighborhood interests, the council itself must become more transparent and accountable.
